Cooking with fresh herbs is getting more and more popular. The problem with fresh herbs is, to get
the leaves or needles of the branches. Because of that, we developed a kitchen tool that strips the herbs.
Beside the popularity of the fresh herbs we also noticed that often we buy a package with fresh herbs but
only need a few branches. The rest of the herbs end up in the fridge and after a week the herbs are
withered or even moldy.
To avoid this food waste, we developed besides a herb stripper also a herb sieve. With this sieve the
herbs can be washed and if you don’t need the herbs right away, you use the sieve to dry the herbs on a
heater. This prevents the herbs from getting moldy and can be used later on for sauces, soups and other
Both parts are realised in stainless steel. This makes them easy to use, the herbs dry extra good and
they are easy to clean. Even dishwasherproof!
The stripper contains different sized holes, so the stripper can be used for many herbs. For example;
rosemary, thym, basil, parsley, coriander, mint, etc.
On the photo above, you see how the herbs are pulled through the holes.
The round top shape of the stripper makes it easy to use and to hold the stripper in place when you pull
the herbs through the holes.
After stripping the herbs, they get washed by using the sieve.
The herbs are ready to be cut, used or saved for later.
When you don’t need the herbs right away, you use the sieve to dry them on the heater. The stainless
steel causes an extra quick drying process and you can save them easily for a different moment.
